Can you believe it, JULY is here! The past six months went by sooo fast.
Here's the situation, deadlines dictate your priorities. Then stress and fatigue start to accumulate because of long working hour and you get lost in the vortex of screens and information overload. When you are working hard to achieve your goals and achieving new milestones, you can easily put your self care needs aside. Does this sound familiar?
BUT we're here to remind you to slow down and remember to take care of yourself and time to recharge! YOU ARE YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
You don't have to make a major change (that can bring so much anxiety) but you can do the following small steps...
1. You mush realize that SELF CARE is a necessity, not a luxury
SELF CARE is something you have to step away from your work and don't feel guilty. As Audre Lorde said, your self-care is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation. Invest in yourself to become the best you.
2. Set a ME time and put it on your calendar
Block time for your therapy sessions, exercise, or engage in your favorite unwinding rituals. Schedule regular check-ins and reflect on where your mind is focused on, what you need to adjust, and how you can help yourself become better and happier.
3. Set boundaries
Re-center your priorities. It's easy to say "Yes" to everything and every one, so practice saying "NO". Still find time for yourself and your inner peace
4. Stop comparing yourself to others
You can never fully compare yourself to another person, because remember that everyone has their own pace of progress and their own life story (and the struggles behind it). What you can do is focus on your own growth.
5. Keep Calm and Be Grateful
Gratitude awakens appreciation for the life you have. It makes you feel grounded; centered. Gratitude helps you love yourself and accept yourself.
